Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Competent User Certificate Course Aim: To teach students the background knowledge and skills required to perform basic life support with the addition of an Automated External Defibrillator. Qualification: Merlin First Aid Services Ltd. AED Competent User Certificate Validation: 1 Year. Course Length: 1 Day Requirements: First Aid at Work or Equivalent on entry. Medical Gases Competent User Certificate Course Aim: To teach students the knowledge and skills required to be able to use medical gases (oxygen and entonox) for trauma incidents. Qualification: Merlin First Aid Services Ltd. Medical Gases Certificate Validation: 1 Year Course Length: 1 Day Requirements: First Aid at Work or Equivalent on entry. Search and Rescue Team (MR) Medic
Course Aim: To train students working within the outdoor or remote environment in the advanced skills required to stabilise, treat and evacuate casualties from a remote location. Although covering some of the same skills and subjects as EMT, this course is more 'practical' based and mostly taught at a 'first aid' level of knowledge. Qualification: Merlin First Aid Services Ltd.
