Merlin First Aid Services Limited staff, in the companies 4x4 and a personal vehicle worked hand in hand with Dyfed Powys Police on humanitarian work in the poor weather (snow!) along the A48 in West Wales.
This work included helping stuck traffic continue on it's journey, towing cars back on to the road and looking for a person with a diabetic emergency who was stuck in the traffic.
The police sent us a letter as a thank you: (See the Civil Assistance Section of Ambulance Services.

It is a V plate Citroen which will spend the next few weeks being prepped ready for both Event Work and Patient Transport duties.
We need to clean up the outside and update the markings to include the company name, etc. Before it goes into service.

Merlin First Aid Services was officially transferred from a small sole trader with some part time staff to a formal limited company.
From 1st November 2006, we will be known as Merlin First Aid Services Limited and will still endeavour to deliver the same quality services that we have since our start in 2002.
2nd March 2006
At the beginning of March 2006 as you may be aware, there were days of snow that brought West Wales, if not to a standstill, then to a very slow walk. We received a call from All Wales Ambulance Services Ltd, asking if our four wheel drive was available for a patient transport run from West Wales General Hospital in Carmarthen.
It transpired that an elderly farmer had been taken in to A & E with a recurring nosebleed the evening before. Due to the road conditions, and the location of the farm, county ambulance had had problems with picking him up and called for assistance from the fire brigade.
To take him back home the next day, All Wales Ambulance Services called on Merlin First Aid Services to provide our vehicle and driver as the road (and track) conditions were still too bad for a normal ambulance to return the farmer to his home.
